Maple Leafs notebook: John Tavares is out of babysitters, Joseph Woll gets tired too

As of this moment, John Tavares’ house includes himself, his wife and three children under five.
None of the Maple Leafs rookies or prospects have moved in, the way Easton Cowan, Fraser Minten and Matthew Knies have in the past.
Is anyone going to move in this season, even briefly?
“That hasn’t been determined,” said Tavares. “We’ll see. Wouldn’t mind another babysitter.”
Tavares was back centring William Nylander and Max Domi as the non-playing group practised on Thursday. He said it doesn’t mean a reunion is permanent.
“You’re preparing as best you can throughout this week to get ready for what’s coming for real,” said Tavares.
Goalie Joseph Woll looked as if he was struggling through some physical issues, favouring his left leg at times. But he finished practice and insisted he was healthy, though a little tired.
“If I was hurt, you’d probably know. I wouldn’t still be in there,” said Woll.
He said if he’s ever seen slouched over with his glove covering his mask, there’s a reason.
“It’s because I’m tired. I can’t breathe,” said Woll. “The first few drills are usually pretty tiring, a lot of shots.”
Calle Järnkrok seemed as though he was over what ailed him and kept him out of most of camp until the trip to Bracebridge this week.
“Nothing crazy. Minor,” he said of his undisclosed lower-body injury. “Feels good now. Good to be back with the guys.”
The Leafs cut 21 players on Wednesday, including goalie Dennis Hildeby, who had a terrific game in Montreal and will join the Marlies, and forward Nick Abruzzese, who has played 11 NHL games. Abruzzese will join the Marlies if he clears waivers.
Also sent to the Marlies:
-Forwards Matthew Barbolini, Jacob Frasca, Mathieu Gosselin, Braeden Kressler, Brandon Lisowsky, Robert Mastrosimone, Marko Sikic, Zach Solow, Sam Stevens and Ty Voit
-Defencemen Matt Anderson, Jacob Bengtsson, Ryan McCleary, Tommy Miller, Rhett Parsons, Chas Sharpe and William Villeneuve
-Goaltenders Jon Gillies and Vyacheslav Peksa
